Frequently Asked Questions
Who are you and how long have you been in business?
We’re V.A Business Consultants — a registered consultancy in Tanzania, helping businesses with registrations, compliance, and investor support since 2020.
Is your company legally registered in Tanzania?
Yes. We’re a Tanzanian-registered consultancy and we work as facilitators, helping clients deal with government bodies like BRELA, TRA, Licensing authorities, NSSF, and others.
How do I know you’re not a scammer?
We show real proof of our completed work — such as certificates, official approvals, and client testimonials. You can also visit our office, speak to a consultant directly, or verify our registration.
Can I see real examples of successful work?
Yes. Our Proof of Success section displays screenshots of actual registrations, permits, and compliance documents we’ve facilitated.
Do I need to pay upfront?
We require a deposit to start. Some services offer flexible payment options based on milestones or stages.
What if I pay and the process fails or delays?
We always communicate transparently. If delays occur due to institutions or client documents, we’ll update you. Refunds are handled fairly based on work done.
What payment options do you accept?
We accept mobile money (M-Pesa, Tigo), bank transfers, Selcom, and Wise/PayPal for international clients.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, especially for high-value services or foreign investors. We offer structured payment plans linked to deliverables.
How long does it take to register a business?
Usually 3–7 working days, depending on your business type, name approval, and how ready your documents are.
What will I receive once registration is complete?
You’ll receive your BRELA certificate, TRA TIN, and optionally WCF/NSSF confirmations, depending on the package.
Do I need to visit your office physically?
No — our services are fully available online via WhatsApp, email, or phone. But if you prefer, you’re welcome to visit our office. We’re happy to assist you either way.
Do I need a lawyer or accountant separately?
Not unless your situation requires it. We handle most legal and compliance steps. If needed, we’ll advise accordingly.
Can I register a company from outside Tanzania?
Yes. We’ve helped dozens of foreign clients set up and run businesses remotely, including handling post-registration permits.
Can I own 100% of the company as a foreigner?
Yes. For a newly registered local Limited Liability Company (LLC) in Tanzania, shareholding can indeed be 100% foreign. However, for practical purposes — especially during TIN application which may require biometric verification — we advise appointing at least one Tanzanian national as a director or secretary to ease the process.
How many people are needed to register a company in Tanzania?
A minimum of two people are required to form a private limited company (LLC) in Tanzania. While a “single shareholder company” is allowed by law, it’s not widely supported in practice due to lack of enabling regulations.
Do you help with investor permits and licenses too?
Yes. We support TIC registration, work and residence permits, and other licensing depending on your business model.
Do you handle post-registration compliances too?
Yes. After your company is registered, we assist with all essential post-registration steps — including TRA TIN for directors, NSSF/WCF setup, business licenses, sector-specific approvals and monthly/quartely and annually compliances. We ensure your business is not only registered but also legally compliant and ready to operate in Tanzania.
